Happy Spring, Everyone!

Our youth group has kicked of 2016 with a bang!  Here are a highlights of what we have been up to this year:

We had a great turn-out of 7 youth groups and approximately 80 people at our January youth dodgeball tournament.  This was our 2nd year hosting and organizing the tournament, and we look forward to doing it again!

We had a great time at the Valentine’s dinner dance with lots of youth helpers, and lots of fun!  Thanks to your donations, the youth group earned over $300 in tips!

This Spring, the youth group has been doing a Chronicles of Narnia movie study, watching the film series in segments, and discussing the scriptural and faith ideas present in C.S. Lewis’ beloved story.

In March, the youth group was invited to enter a contest sponsored by Entrust Federal Credit Union.  We entered the contest by creating a short video, showing that our Ramsey youth group cares about missions, AND WE WON!  Our Ramsey youth have won $2,000 to use on a mission project in 2016.  Currently, we are looking at the possibility of traveling as a work team to aid in tornado disaster relief in VA.

The youth have also voiced their hopes for other activities this summer, so you can expect to see us doing many of these awesome activities in 2016:  hiking, King’s Dominion, Lock-In, 30-Hour Famine, performing at church (drama/dance/song), road trip, and many more!  We are always in need of chaperones, so please contact Sarah if you will be available this summer to accompany us on one of our adventures!
