Rev. Claudia Stallings

Senior Pastor
E-mail Rev. Claudia Stallings

Rev. Stallings began her ministry at Ramsey Memorial UMC July 2018.  Her lifelong love of Jesus Christ began when she was a member of South Hill United Methodist Church.  She felt a call to clergy ministry and received her Master of Divinity from Union-PSCE (now Union Presbyterian Seminary) in Ginter Park in 2003.  Her first appointment was part-time during seminary where she served the Caroline Charge in the Ashland District for 2 years.  She has served the West Hanover Charge (Rouzie’s Chapel and Beaverdam UMCs) full time for the past 15 years in the Richmond District.
Claudia and her husband Scott are excited to be returning “home” to the Hull Street corridor and can hardly wait to join the Ramsey Memorial UMC family in serving the Lord while serving our community.  She knows that our God who “does exceedingly, abundantly above all that we could ask or imagine” (Ephesians 3:20) has amazing plans in the works for the years ahead together.

Pastora Norma is a native of El Salvador. She is married with 4 children (2 girls, 2 boys) and enjoys spending time with her 5 grandchildren.  She has been serving at Ramsey Memorial as a licensed local pastor since July of 2007.  However, she has been part of our Hispanic Ministry since its beginning  in April of 2005. Pastora Norma has a special place in her heart for the children’s ministry because that’s where she first received God’s call into ministry. Her first time preaching was at a children’s convention at age fifteen.  She truly enjoys preaching in both languages, English and Spanish.  In 2019 she added to her job duties, Director of Education for children and youth where she leads the Sunday School, Ignite Youth Group and Vacation Bible School.

Joyce Walsh

Executive Assistant

Joyce came to work at Ramsey Memorial in March 1971 after moving here from Danville, Virginia.  She began as a part time secretary to Reverend Woodrow Laine and has worked with 8 senior pastors and 4 associate pastors since then.  She went full time after her daughter went away to college 1987.  Her responsibilities have been numerous with assisting the pastors.  Many reports have been done for the Charge Conference and the end of year by her.  She has assisted with many members’ weddings, which she enjoys so much.  The sad part of her job is getting various groups to take care of her friends’ funeral meals.  She is financial secretary of the church which means attending the Finance Committee with reports ready monthly.

Joyce has been married to Curtis for 55 years and has two wonderful children, Jeff and Joanna.  They have four grandchildren, whom they love spending their time every chance they get.
