Gift Cards– We are now selling gift cards for three grocery stores: Martin’s, Kroger and Food Lion. This is an easy way for our church to receive a few extra dollars that really mount up over time. Come down to the CLC lobby after church to buy these cards.,

GRADUATION SUNDAY– Sunday June 2nd, is a graduation Sunday. There will be a breakfast for all the graduates and their families at 9:00 a.m. in the CLC and they will be recognized in the 11:00 a.m. worship service. If you have a graduate or if you are a graduate, please call the church office with how many will be attending the breakfast and information to be used in a power point on the screen. Three pictures of different ages of each graduate would be nice as well for the power point. Pictures will be given back to you after they are scanned. The deadline for getting the pictures and information to us is May 26th.

SAMARITAN GIFTS– which are received from Mother’s Day, May 12th, to Father’s day, June 16th, may be designated to any of our seven VUMH communities. Undesignated gifts are used where the need is the greatest. Both designated and undesignated gifts have the same purpose: to provide financial assistance to a resident whose ability to pay for care has been diminished. Please consider making a gift today to help those who are in need of your generosity. You can truly make a difference in someone’s life.

Agape Annual Yard Sale-It’s spring…finally!! Along with budding flowers and April showers what else can you count on? That’s right, the Annual Agape Yard Sale! So, spring clean and clear the clutter and set aside those items you’d like to donate to the Agape Yard Sale. When: Saturday, April 27th from 8 am – 12:30pm – RAIN OR SHINE! If you have lots of items, especially larger ones, we will gladly pick them up for you. Pick up of items will take place on April 24th, 25th, and 26th in the evenings. To schedule pick up service, please call Mary Brame at 804.301.3260. You may also drop off items you wish to donate on the designated days in the CLC if you prefer. The Ellen Project- “is offering a knitting/crocheting class on April 21,2013. in the fellowship hall at 2:30 p.m. Please join us for fun, fellowship and learning! Try making chemo caps and prayer shawls for chemo patients; we are not only keeping them warm, we are encouraging them to stay positive and making them aware that someone is praying for them! Please Join us”

We want your Mother’s picture– We are putting together a special visual presentation for Mother’s Day. In order to do this we need your assistance. We are asking you to send us, e-mail or bring us a picture of your mother to the church office. We need them no later than May 1st. Please be sure to honor your mother’ on a special day!

Hamilton follows in the footsteps of Jesus from his baptism, the temptations, and moving through his ministry to the healing he brought, the parables he taught, and the enemies he made. There is a DVD that allows us to go to the Holy Land to explore locations where Jesus’ ministry took place. We hope you will join us for this study.
